The broken and interrupted images are collaged together, and the distorted geometric forms that run through them unite them in a new space and time.
The appropriation and collage of images and the self-referencing of images create an atmosphere of surreal mystery and absurdity, as well as postmodern fragmentation and confusion.
On this basis, the author has made a new exploration. In time, quiet natural landscapes with momentary events and actions produce dramatic effects. In space, the geometric forms echo the shaped frames, creating the illusion that the images “break out of the frame”. Abstract geometric forms and figurative objects are juxtaposed with realistic and vivid natural landscapes and wildlife.
The author uses such means to constitute a metaphor for the crisis of reality: the separation of ideal and reality, the split between human and nature, and the urgent need to reorganize the sensual and the rational. These are precisely the problems we are facing.
